Effectiveness Data (10% of Final Summative Rating)
State law requires that student data significantly inform teacher evaluations. Under the EVSC teacher evaluation system, student data will account for 10% of the final summative rating. For the majority of teachers, that 10% will include at least two of the following factors: ISTEP growth data, locally developed assessment (LDA) data, performance toward school or corporation school improvement plan (SIP) goal, and school or corporation grade. The chart below shows the derivation of effectiveness data for each group of certificated staff. For a definition of certificated staff, see IC 20-29-2-4.

For most teachers, LDAs will be the work of their professional learning community (PLC). LDAs will be teacher created and peer reviewed. Information on LDAs is available on the EVSC teacher portal.
